Why? Pssh, more like why not!?

Seriously, who wouldn't want to spend hours soldering hundreds of LED's to thousands of wires all for a glorified art project that hangs on my wall and changes at the most inopportune moments? All the cool kids are doing it right?

This all started out as a "You know what would be so awesome?!" conversation that ballooned until things just happened. First came the curiosity of the microcontroller then the strange perversion to speak hex fluently. Then came the tools, oh the glorious power tools!

So in short, geeks had a geeky conversation, wanted to learn about hardware things, thought letting the internet write on my wall would be a swell idea and got to play with power tools. Oh! Also check out how we made it.
